Leafletsoblong- or obovate-cuneate, truncate to emarginate. Calyx-teeth longer than tube; corolla 18-22 mm; standard reddish-purple, the wings dark red. Legume 30-50 x4-5-6 mm, not contracted between the seeds, dark brown or almost black, usually glabrous. Seeds 3-4-5 mm. 2/7 = 10. S. Europe.
