Redescription. Male. Dorsal coloration. Head shiny reddish brown; antennal segment I dirty yellow, remainder segments castaneous orange; anterior and posterior lobe of pronotum shiny reddish brown; scutellum dull reddish brown; clavus shiny yellow with claval commissure and punctures castaneous orange; corium shiny yellow with apical third reddish brown; hemelytral membrane smoky; connexivum pale yellow, intersegmental joint darker and upper border reddish brown; dorsal abdominal segments dark yellow with posterior margin of each segment pale brown. Ventral coloration. Head shiny reddish brown; rostral segments and legs shiny yellow; propleura and mesopleura shiny reddish brown; metapleura dull reddish brown; pro-, meso-, and metapleurae shiny castaneous orange; spinules of fore and middle femora and tibiae reddish brown; abdominal sterna II–V shiny yellow with broad castaneous orange stripe at each side of midline; sternites VI–VII and genital capsule dark castaneous orange; pleural margins of abdominal sterna II–VII shiny yellow. Structure. Head: antennal segment II twice as long as segment I; rostrum stout reaching middle third of mesosternum. Thorax. Pronotum wider than long: anterior lobe less than twice as long as posterior lobe. Hemelytron macropterous, extending beyond the apex of last abdominal segment; hemelytral membrane with three cells.

Female. Color and habitus similar to male. Genital plates dark yellowish orange.

Variation. 1, collar pale castaneous orange. 2, anterior lobe of pronotum dark shiny reddish brown and posterior lobe shiny pale reddish castaneous. 3, mesosternum and metasternum shiny reddish brown. 4, legs pale yellow suffused with pale orange. 5, abdominal sterna II–VII shiny yellow with pale castaneous orange stripe lateral to midline. 6, antennal segment II less than twice as long as segment I.

Measurements. Male. Body length 3.48; head width across eyes 0.54; interocular distance 0.17; antennal segments: I 0.24, II 0.56, III 0.52, IV =ca. 0.76 (curled); pronotum: length of anterior pronotal lobe 0.44, length of posterior pronotal lobe 0.30,maximum width of anterior pronotal lobe 0.60, maximum width of posterior pronotal lobe 1.08; scutellum: length 0.40, width 0.53.

Body length 3.93; head width across eyes 0.60; interocular distance 0.20; antennal segments: I 0.36, II 0.60, III 0.49, IV =ca. 0.77 (curled); pronotum: length of anterior pronotal lobe 0.60, length of posterior pronotal lobe 0.36,maximum width of anterior pronotal lobe 0.76, maximum width of posterior pronotal lobe 1.32; scutellum: length 0.48, width 0.64.

Discussion. Alloeorhynchus moritzii (Stein) is clearly recognized by having the anterior and posterior lobes of the pronotum uniformly shiny reddish brown, the clavus is yellow, and the basal two-thirds of the corium is yellow.
