Range: — Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Fairly common; epiphytic with usually erect leaves in humid montane forests; (1400–) 2350–3750 m.
Notes: —Very variable with respect to rhizome scale size, blade shape, and the angle at which the veins depart from the costae. It may represent more than one species, and detailed study of the variation of populations in the field is needed.
