Elaphoglossum productum Rosenst., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 6: 315. 1909. ( Fig. 48E–H View FIGURE 48 )
Range: —Venezuelan tepuis; Andes of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP); to be expected in Peru.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic in humid forests; (300–) 700–1750 m.
Notes: —The rhizomes are more compact and the rhizome scales are longer and paler than in E. buchtienii or E. dolichopus . The divided blade scales are reminiscent of those of E. glaucescens and E. subarborescens , but these have brown blade scales and narrower leaves with relatively longer petioles. Specimens of E. productum from lower elevations (300–450 m) have thinner blade texture, longer petioles, and shorter rhizome scales, and may represent a distinct species.
