Range: — Peru and Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Locally fairly common; terrestrial, sometimes forming dense colonies, in humid forests; (650–)1500– 1850(–2700) m.
Notes:— This is one of the few species in the genus with areolate veins.
