= Elaphoglossum glabromarginatum A.Rojas, Revista Biol. Trop. View in CoL 50(3–4): 975. 2002.
Range: — Colombia to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Common; epiphytic and terrestrial in humid forests; 1500–3450 m.
Notes: —Extremely variable in size, shape of the sterile blades, and degree of scaliness on the blades and petioles. Most likely a species complex.

= Elaphoglossum castaneum (Baker) Diels, Nat. Pflanzenfam. View in CoL 1(4): 333. 1899.
Range: — Costa Rica and Panama; Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Common; epiphytic and terrestrial in humid forests; (750–) 1650–3300 m.
Notes: —Specimens with black (vs. olive-green) petioles of fertile leaves, castaneous petiolar scales, and somewhat larger and more subulate blade scales have been called E. castaneum , but there are many intermediate specimens, and both forms are best considered conspecific.
