Range: — Bolivia ( CH, LP, SC, TA) and Brazil.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic, less commonly terrestrial and saxicolous in humid forests; 1450–2400 m.
Notes: —Similar to E. eximium (Mett.) Christ but differs by weakly inrolled, reflexed petiolar scales (vs. strongly inrolled, mostly patent) and glabrous laminar margins (vs. laminar margins typically scaly, especially between crenulations). Elaphoglossum eximium is known from southern Mexico to Panama, Hispaniola, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and northern Brazil.
