Range: — Ecuador to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC), and Brazil; northern range limit and contact or overlap zone with closely related E. lonchophyllum (Fée) T.Moore View in CoL , from Mexico to Peru, is unknown.
Ecology: —Common; epiphytic in humid forests; 900–2200(–2800) m.
Notes: —Some vein ends are somewhat enlarged or bent, but they do not connect adjacent veins. The fasciculate leaves with long, slender petioles provide this species with a distinct habit in the field.
