Range: —Andes from Colombia to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Uncommon; saxicolous on rock faces, on road banks, and along streams, in humid forest habitats; 2000–3600(–4200) m.
Notes: —Most similar to E. cuspidatum and E. crassipes , but these are much larger species with rounder, more closely appressed blade scales, and usually a few dark scales scattered among the orange ones.
