Megalastrum ciliatum M.Kessler & A.R.Sm., Amer. Fern J. View in CoL 96(1): 38, f. 2 A–C. 2006.
Range: —Endemic to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Rare; terrestrial in secondary humid forests; 1600–1700 m.
Notes: —Blades 3-pinnate, with long hairs adaxially and abaxially (on and between the veins); costal scales denticulate, concolorous; rhizome scales dark brown, finely ciliate. Perhaps closest to M. pulverulentum (Poir.)A.R.Sm. & R.C.Moran , but the range of that is considered to be from southern Mexico to Panama, the Antilles, and Colombia to Venezuela and Peru ( Moran et al. 2014b); that species has strongly bicolorous costal scales with much coarser teeth.
Megalastrum fibrillosum (Baker) R.C.Moran, J.Prado & Sundue, Amer. Fern J. View in CoL 104(3): 155. 2014. Range: — Ecuador to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC). Ecology: —Fairly common; terrestrial in humid forests; 400–1300 m. Notes: —Specimens treated here were identified as Megalastrum honestum (Kunze) A.R.Sm. & R.C.Moran View in CoL by
Kessler & Smith (2006); Moran et al. (2014b) regarded that name, type from Peru, as of uncertain application.
