Koma View in CoL group

Only the single unusual species H. koma is included in this group ( Fig. 86 View FIGURE 86 ). This species has a very unusual habitus, and the male leg dimorphisms differ from those of other groups. The aedeagus of H. koma is very unusual, and cannot be reasonably compared with that of other groups ( Figs. 88 View FIGURES 88–89 ). Hydraena koma , known only from the male holotype, was collected at an elevation of 1100 m in Area 1, very near the border with Area 13 (map Fig. 469 View FIGURES 467–470 ). The specimen was "washed from margins of small pool of a steep, rocky, forest stream at confluence with river; gravel, cobbles, wet rock microhabitats". Additional species in this group can be expected.
