Holotype ♂, paratypes 2♂, 1♀, Sichuan, Leshan 29°57´N, 103°77´E, 360 m alt., 2016-5-30, collected by Cheng-Quan Cao .
Male Head, pronotum and fore wings with luster. Head black with a narrow yellowish-white band along inner margin of eye and with yellow stripe on both sides. Antennae black, moniliform, 10 segmented, length of joint almost equal to width. Ocelli small, white, placed in the middle of eyes (fig. 2). Carinae from eye to vertex absent. Pronotum black with yellowish-white stripe on both sides. Fore wing blackish-brown, with two yellowish-white spots on the base and apical part. Hind wing yellow, reaching the hind margin of 6th abdomen tergite. Fore leg and mid leg dark, with obscure yellowish-white spots. Femur of hind leg black with obvious yellowish-white spot on the pregenicular part. Tibia of hind leg dark brown, with a small yellowish-white marking near base; tibial serrae small. Cercus and stylus black. Epiproct with a pair of small spines laterally directed on posterior angle, lateral margin wavy, and posterior margin bluntly pointed.
Female Body larger than male in size (figs. 5, 9). Hind femur with two large yellow spots on the middle. Hind wing shorter, reaching the middle of 5th abdomen tergite Abdominal segment black; a notch on mesal posterior margin of 8th sternum (fig.6). Epiproct rounded. Others as same as the male.
Measurement (in mm): Length of body: ♂ 3.9–4.3, ♀ 5.2. Length of tegmina: ♂ 0.9–1.1, ♀ 1.2. Length of hind femur: ♂ 2.6–3.0, ♀ 3.3.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to Xya japonica ( Haan, 1844) . The major differences are listed in Table 1.
Etymology The specific epithet is named for the type locality Sichuan.
