Diagnosis. Larva. Stephanostome absent. Tritorostral setae (hypostomalae, bs) minute, simple or spine-like. Palp femur and palp genu without setae. Dorsum of idiosoma with two shields; median ridge present on scutum and scutellum or on the posterior shield only. Scutum with three pairs of normal setae (AM, AL and PL) and one pair of trichobothria (S). Sensillae located antero-medially to setae PL. Stolascutum absent. Scutellum with two c1 setae. Double eyes located on each side of prodorsum. ƒCx = 2-1-1. Postlarval forms: see Gabryś (1999, 2002) and Wohltmann and Gabryś (2006).
