Megarrhina [sic] grandiosa Williston, 1900: 224 (female). Type locality: Mexico, Guerrero, Omilteme [sic] = Omiltemi. Megarhina grandiosa in part of Howard et al. 1917: 939 .
Megarhinus (Megarhinus) grandiosus of Dyar 1928: 407 (female diagnosis).
This species has been recorded in Mexico in the states of Guerrero ( Williston 1900) and Tamaulipas (Ortega- Morales et al. 2015). This is the first record of Tx. grandiosus in the state of Veracruz.
