Type material: Females ( Piersig 1903), possibly not deposited in any scientific collection.
Type locality: Germany: Bohemian Forest , Mauth ; Kleine Mittweidastream , Ore Mountains, near Nitzschhammer ( Piersig 1903) .
Geographical distribution: Central and Southeastern Europe ( Gerecke et al. 2016; Szalay 1970).
Distribution in Portugal: Centre: Beira Alta, in Santa CombaDão( Lundblad 1956).
Ecological notes: The species lives at slow-moderate flowing streams, on sandy substrate, present in Carex spp. plants ( Lundblad 1956), in the plains (e.g. lakes), pools of low mountain ranges, as well as in the interstitial and groundwaters ( Gerecke et al. 2016; Szalay 1970).
