D e s c r i p t i o n. Leaf, simple, petiolate, petiole up to 8 mm long, stout, lamina elliptic, 56–118 mm long, 30–80 mm wide, shallowly lobed, number of lobes 8–10, base obtuse-cordate to wide acute with rounded asymmetric very-base, apex acute rounded, secondary venation craspedodromous, number of secondary veins 9–11.

R e m a r k s. These leaves resemble Q. iberica M.BIEB., 1808 (syn. Quercus petraea subsp. polycarpa (SCHUR) SOÓ, 1943 ) in their regular shape, absence of intersecondary veins, and the cordate-auriculate leaf base.
