Arsinoe Laporte de Castelnau, 1834 View in CoL
The genus is endemic to the Afrotropical Region, enclosing twenty-six species from the continental part and one from Madagascar ( Lorenz 2021). There has not been a complete revision of the entire genus. However, Péringuey (1896, 1898) and Burgeon (1937) revised the southern Africa and the former Belgian Congo species, respectively. Basilewsky (1970a) described several species from West Africa and more recently Facchini (2011, 2017) described new species from several African countries. The genus was already recorded for Guinea ‒ Bissau ( Serrano 2009a), but I describe a new species for this country.
