Distribution: ANG, DOC, GBI, KEN, MOZ, RRW, RSA.

Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 2) CAC.

Historic records: none.

Material examined: Banhinda (P.N. T. Cacheu) (12º 12´16.67´´ N, 16º 02´56.45´´ W, 25 m alt.) ( CAC), 27. VI.2009, 1 male, LT, A. Serrano leg., ASC.

Remarks. The species is known throughout central and south-eastern Africa ( Mateu 1970; Lorenz 2021). The presence in Guinea-Bissau increases its known distribution to include the northwestern Africa region. The male adult specimen matches very well with the description of the species, including the aedeagus (see Mateus 1970). It was captured by LT within an open secondary forest in the beginning of the rainy season ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ), and is a new genus/species record for Guinea-Bissau.
