( Figs 68–73 View FIGURES 68–73 )

Diagnosis. Related to P. jinotegaensis García Aldrete , P. hinestrozae n. sp. and P. buitrerensis n. sp., differing from them in having the posterior side sclerites of the hypandrium with a slender, mesal process directed outwards; posterior process of the central sclerite of the hypandrium proximally wide, with sides converging to pointed, sclerotized apex ( Fig. 71 View FIGURES 68–73 ). It also differs from the above species in the shape and size of the endophallic sclerites.

Color. Body brown to ochre. Head brown ( Fig. 70 View FIGURES 68–73 ) with two ochre bands from the inner border of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, enclosing the antennal fossae. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Vertex light brown, with brown spots. Postclypeus with brown to ochre V-shaped area, light brown to yellowish mesally. Anteclypeus and labrum pale brown to yellowish. Genae brown, postgenae light brown, with white area. Antennae: scape and pedicel brown, flagellomeres pale brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps light brown, Mx4 dark brown. Tergal lobes of mesothorax brown, tergal lobes of metathorax dark brown. Propleura and metapleura light brown, with ochre spots, mesopleura brown. Legs: coxae, trochanters and femora light brown, coxae and trochanters with ochre spots, femora with pigmentation light brown medially; tibiae and tarsi pale brown, tibiae with dark brown areolae in setal insertions. Wings hyaline, forewing pterostigma hyaline, with dark brown areas proximally and distally; a pale brown marginal band from R4+5 to distal half of 1A; the band shaped like narrow arcs, with hyaline fenestrae on each side of vein ends. Hindwings veins brown. Abdomen light brown, with subcuticular ochre areas. Clunium pale brown. Sclerites of hypandrium brown; phallosome dark brown. Epiproct and paraprocts light brown with ochre spots subcuticularly.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 70 View FIGURES 68–73 ) H/MxW: 1.49; large compound eyes, H/d: 2.63; IO/MxW: 0.64; vertex below the level of the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with 6 denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.23. Forewings ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 68–73 ) L/W: 2.69; pterostigma: lp/wp: 4.62, elongate, wider in the middle; M six branched, sometimes M6 forked; areola postica: la/ha: 1.68, tall, wide, slightly slanted posteriorly, apically rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 68–73 ) l/w: 2.86; M five branched. Hypandrium ( Fig. 71 View FIGURES 68–73 ), central sclerite with tufts of long macrosetae on each side of the median, proximally wide, distally acuminate process; posterior side sclerites scithe-shaped, curved outwards. Phallosome ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 68–73 ) Y-shaped anteriorly, side struts wide; external parameres elongate, with rounded apices bearing small pores. Five endophallic sclerites. Anterior pair broadly oval, medium sized. Lateral pair long, curved anteriorly, distally dilated, with a row of teeth along inner margin ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 68–73 ). Mesal sclerite transverse, with posterior margin convex, concave anteriorly, with side processes proximally slender; posterior processes widened basally. Paraprocts ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 68–73 ) oval, setae and spicules as illustrated; sensory fields with 22 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 68–73 ) anteriorly convex, posteriorly rounded, with microspicules on basal field, with setae as illustrated.
