Chorotype. W-Mediterranean.

Remark. The material from Berkane ( Berrahou et al. 2000; Chavanon et al. 2004), where the species was cited as being from, have now been revised and it corresponds to Ochthebius judemaesi . Furthermore, O. semisericeus had already been excluded by Jäch (2001).
