Chorotype. Afrotropical-Mediterranean.

Distribution in North Africa. Algeria, Canary Islands, Morocco, Madeira Archipelago, Tunisia ( Jäch & Skale 2015) and Egypt ( Salah et al. 2014; Jäch & Skale 2015).

Moroccan distribution. Rif and Pré-Rif: Al Hoceima, Nador ( Bennas et al. 2001) and Taza ( Mabrouki et al. 2018). Oriental Plateau: Oujda, Jerada ( Berrahou et al. 2001; Mabrouki et al. 2018), Berkane ( Berrahou et al. 2000; Chavanon et al. 2004) and Figuig ( Chavanon et al. 2004; Mabrouki et al. 2018). Middle Atlas: Ifrane (Orchymont 1935) , Khouribga, Settat ( Jäch 1992b), Khénifra ( Chakour et al. 2017), Boulemane and Midelt ( Berrahou et al. 2001; Mabrouki et al. 2018).
