Treatment

This species was described from Russia (Tatarstan) from soil ( Kuznetsov & Wainstein 1977). It was also recorded from Nort-Eastern Ukraine from moss ( Khaustov & Kuznetsov 1997). Faraji & Ueckermann (2006) redescribed this species based on specimens from France. This is the first record of S. corticeus from the Crimean peninsula. Material examined. Three females, CRIMEA: Nikita mountain pasture, about 1250 m.a.s.l., from sod, 12 September 2000, coll. Khaustov A.A.
