Etymology. The specific epithet is taken from the Latin adjective edentatus and means no-tooth, referring to the absence of epigynal teeth, adjective.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to B. brevidens sp. nov., the differences are discussed in the “diagnosis” of B. brevidens .
Description. Female (holotype measured): Total length 6.50. Prosoma 3.20 long, 3.10 wide; Opisthosoma 3.40 long, 3.40 wide. Prosoma blackish brown, carapace covered with short white hairs. Clypeus with thick setae. Eye measurements: AME 0.12; ALE 0.16; PME 0.12; PLE 0.16; AME–AME 0.12; AME–ALE 0.14; PME–PME 0.12; PME–PLE 0.30. MOA length 0.50 with front width 0.36 and back width 0.40. Chelicera, gnathecoxa, labium dark brown, chelicerae with 4 pro- and 4 retromarginal teeth, with 5 denticles between teeth. Sternum yellow. Tibiae of II and III light yellow proximally; tibiae, metatarsi of II with 4, 3 of prolateral, retrolateral spines respectively. Leg formula: IV, III, II; leg measurements: legs I lost; II: 6.00 (2.00, 2.80, 0.70, 0.50); III: 6.70 (1.90, 2.50, 1.50, 0.80); IV: 7.20 (2.30, 2.50, 1.60, 0.80). Opithosoma grayish black, covered with short clavate hairs. Venter yellow.
Epigynum ( Figs 7 B–C, 10 C–D). Epigynum with a small hood, anteriorly situated; median septum wider anteriorly; spermathecae twisted, convoluted; a pair of wrinkled chitinous lamellae covered the posterior part of spermathecae.
Male: Total length 5.70. Prosoma 3.10 long, 2.70 wide; Opisthosoma 2.70 long, 2.20 wide. Prosoma brown, carapace with short white hairs. Clypeus with thick setae. Eye measurements: AME 0.14; ALE 0.16; PME 0.14; PLE 0.14; AME–AME 0.10; AME–ALE 0.14; PME–PME 0.12; PME–PLE 0.24. MOA length 0.50 with front width 0.34 and back width 0.40. Chelicera dark brown, with 4 pro- and 4 retromarginal teeth, with 2 small denticles between teeth; gnathecoxa, labium brown. Sternum yellow. Femur I swollen medially, bear 3 thick spines with large base. Tibiae I with 5 prolateral and 4 retrolateral spines, metatarsi I with 3 prolateral and 3 retrolateral spines; tibiae, metatarsi II with 4, 3 prolateral and retrolateral spines respectively. Leg formula: I, IV, II, III; leg measurements: I: 9.60 (3.00, 4.10, 1.80, 0.70); II: 6.70 (2.00, 2.60, 1.40, 0.70); III: 6.40 (1.80, 2.30, 1.50, 0.80); IV 6.70 (2.00, 2.30, 1.60, 0.80). Opithosoma light brown. Dorsum with clavate hairs posteriorly. Venter yellow with grayish black longitudinal dot-shaped stripes.
Palp ( Figs 9 A–D, 10 A–B). Palp with VTA, RTA and DTA; median apophysis ear-shaped; conductor wide; embolus fork-shaped proximally.
Distribution. China (Hainan). Only known from the type locality.
