Remarks: Included in Pectinopygus by Harrison (1916: 143). This genus is included in suborder Ischnocera , family Philopteridae .
Pediculus diomedeae Fabricius J.C., 1775: 808 . Neoparatypes: 1 male and 1 female; #45,786; b.4.68; Note 1,202. Ex Diomedea melanophrys (= Thalassarche melanophris (Temminck, 1828)) ( Procellariiformes : Diomedeidae ). Brazil, São Paulo, Santos; no other data.
Remarks: Included in Esthiopterum by Harrison (1916: 13), in Perineus Harrison [in Thompson], 1936 by Clay (1940: 299), and finally transferred to Paraclisis Timmermann, 1965 by Timmermann (1965: 100). All these genera are included in suborder Ischnocera , family Philopteridae .
