Notes. Berndotritia Mahunka 1987 was treated as synonym of Oribotritia in Niedbała (2000), and they differ only by the number of palps segments (4-segmented in Oribotritia versus 5- segmented in Berndotritia ). Unfortunately, the number of palps segments of Oribotritia (Berndotritia) microsetosa was still unknown. The fusion degree between different ventral plates is an important character in classification of family Oribotritiidae . From the original description, this species shows incomplete junction of the anal plates with the adanal plates (or ano-adanal suture partly reduced, absent posteriorly of iad lyrifissures), which is much similar as the subgenus Afrotritia in genus Indotritia . However, they can be easily distinguished by the shape of genito-aggenital suture (complete versus incomplete in Afrotritia ). Therefore, a new subgenus Mahuntritia Niedbała et Liu, 2018 was proposed to accommodate this species.
