Biology. This species occurs on many kinds of the plants in mountain areas of Japan.

Comments. This species is very similar to the European species T. fulvipes Bagnall. However , in T. fulvipes , antennal segments are slender and longer, segments III and IV distinctly tapering at apex, VI slender at distal half, V to VII each more than 40, 55, 18 microns long; pronotal posteroangular setae are longer, I and II each more than 74 microns long; setae on abdominal tergite IX are longer, S1, S2 and S3 each more than 118, 129 and 120 microns long; setae on tergite X are longer, S1 and S2 setae each more than 120 and 100 microns long; male antennal segment VI is distinctly longer than remaining segments.
