Type locality. Ladera de El Golfo , El Hierro, Canary Islands .
Holotype: 1♀, February 1858, leg. Wollaston [El Golfo] [Type] [Canary Is./El Hierro/ Wollaston Coll./ BM 1864–80] [ Laparocerus / occidentalis /type Woll.]. NHM, London.
Remarks. The type locality is probably in the Eastern slopes of El Golfo Valley, along the old track of Jinama.
