Material examined. One lv from Anse aux Anglais, NMW.Z.2000.086.00013.

Description. A large left valve, 14.91 6 13.68 mm. Robust. Equilateral. Outline subcircular, dorsally weakly trigonal. Sculpture weak, apparently smooth but with a microsculpture of radial partly divaricating raised threads. Hinge strong, cardinals c1 and c2 both projecting, c1 much the larger; posterior lateral lI strong and close to the beaks; deep marginal fossa present anterior and posterior of hinge. Resilium steeply inclined between anterior and posterior teeth. Shell white in colour.

Remarks. We could find no similar shells amongst the type material of those species described by Deshayes and Sowerby.
