Spilonota eremitana Moriuti, 1972 , Kontyû, 40(4): 258 ( Japan).
Description. Adult. Wingspan 13–18 mm; forewing ground color dark brown; overall gray speckled pattern similar thickness; costa strigulae gray, confluent with wing pattern, indistinct; speculum resembles wing pattern, difficult to distinguish, speculum ground color dark brown, inner and outer line of speculum color silver, line of speculum extended to tornus, with 3 to 5 small black inner spots but indistinct; hindwing dark brown, middle slightly lighter; cilia dark brown; abdomen dark brown.
Male genitalia. Uncus absent; socii tapering apically, bent inward apex; tuba analis membranous; tegumen strong; aedeagus 1/2 of length from tegumen to vinculum, bends lightly, deciduous cornuti; anellus about twice as wide as aedeagus; vinculum small; caulis inverted trapezoid; basal opening 1/3 width of valva, round isosceles triangle shaped; sacculus hairy; valva long, tapering neck; cucullus kidney-shaped, setae moderately dense; one pollex on edge.
Female genitalia. Papillae anales with long and short hairs; lamella antevaginalis towering, medially concaved, bifid peaks, slightly raised at both ends; colliculum long more than half of ductus bursae length; corpus bursae spherical; signa pair, small, equal size.

Host plant. Larix kaemferi [ Pinaceae ] ( Nasu 2021).
Distribution. Korea (GW, GG, N) ( Byun et al. 1998; Byun 2011), China ( Zhang & Li 2005), Japan ( Nasu 2021), Russian Far East ( Kuznetzov 2001).
Remarks. The species was first recorded in Korea by Park (1983). The larvae gather a bundle of Larix kaempferi (Lamb.) Carrière new leaves and hinder their growth, causing damage to the tree ( Shin et al. 1983).
