Remarks. This species occurs in an arc {rom Hawaii westwards through the Carolines to Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. It has not yet been found in the south Pacific ( Fiji to Society Islands).

Habitat. Amongst red algae, Sargassum , epiphytes and coral rubble, 0-2 m.

Distribution. Hawaii, Caroline· Islands, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia.
