Megachile albocincta basirubra , which is also known from Sudan, has been overlooked until 2002, when BAKER (2002: 35) errouneously transferred it to the genus Nomia LATREILLE, 1804 (family Halictidae ) and listed Nomia albocincta var. basirubra MAGRETTI, 1884 with the same reference data as a questionable synonym of Nomiapis bispinosa (BRULLÉ, 1832) (see also PAULY 2009: 171).
