Distribution: no exact locality.

Megachile aduaensis is known from Eritrea and Ethiopia. According to the given name the type locality is probably Adua in Ethiopia, which is situated near the Eritrean border. PASTEELS (1965: 417) described Chalicodoma vachali from Adua ( Ethiopia, not Eritrea), which could be the male. There are no further records of Megachile aduaensis from Eritrea.
