Hyperlais xanthomista Mey, 2011: 244 .
Imago (fig. 2): Wingspan 12–18 mm. Described by Mey (2011). Head pale buff, maxillary palpus less than diameter of eye, concolorous with head, labial palpus of male 2× diameter of eye, antenna pale buff. Thorax and tegulae pale straw. Forewing straw, two small dots in disc, termen with a series of black dots, fringe shining fuscous, with distinct fringe line. Hindwing very pale fuscous.
Male genitalia (fig. 49): Described by Mey (2011). Uncus tapered, gnathos almost as long as uncus, valva gradually tapered and curved backwards, sacculus combrising a sclerotised bar from just before halfway almost to apex of valva; saccus extended to a point. Aedeagus as long as armature with two cornuti.
Female genitalia (fig. 83): Described by Mey (2011).
Diagnosis: Distinguished by the yellowish colour of the forewings.
Life history: Not known.
Distribution: Kenya, Somalia, Namibia, Mozambique, Madagascar.
Holotype: ♂ Namibia ( NMNW).
