Japanagallia pteridis (Matsumura) View in CoL : Ishihara 1955: 215, Figs 1. 1–2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 , Figs 2. 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 8 , Figs 1–6 View FIGURES 1 – 8 .
Material examined. None.
Distribution. China (Guizhou, and Zhejiang Provinces, and Taiwan); Japan, Korea, Russia.
Remarks. The distinctive characteristics of J. pteridis (Matsumura) are: aedeagal shaft first directed caudally then abruptly upturned; and the pair of short processes at the base on the dorsal margin of the aedeagal shaft. It is similar to J. decliva Viraktamath et al. and J. tappana (Matsumura) , and differs from the former in lacking apical lobes of the aedeagal shaft, and from the latter in lacking conical spines on the pygofer.
