Actenicerus sjaelandicus (Müller, 1764)

Ctenicera cuprea (Fabricius, 1775) ( Monsevičius 1988) (misidentification).

Vidm. Monsevičius (1988) recorded Ctenicera cuprea (Fabricius, 1775) basing on specimen from Čepkelių Nat. R., (southern part of Lithuania). Later this species as rare for Lithuania has been noted by S. Pileckis and Vidm. Monsevičius (1995). Re-examination of the specimen showed that it was misidentified instead of Actenicerus sjaelandicus (Müller, 1764) . This was untypical exemplar of A. sjaelandicus with blue metallic hue on the surface of pronotum and elytra. In consequence, Ctenicera cuprea should be excluded from Lithuanian fauna.
