Distribution: Nearctic, Neotropical and Oceanic ( Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela. Introduced into Mauritius and United States).
Hosts: Achyra bifidalis Fabricius, 1794 ; Diaphania hyalinata Linneo, 1767 ; Hellula phidilealis, Walker, 1859 ; ( Lepidoptera : Crambidae ). Scrobipalpula absoluta Meyrick, 1917 ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ). Spodoptera frugiperda Smith, 1797 ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ). Ancylostomia stercorea Zeller, 1848 ; Chilozela bifilalis Hampson, 1913 ; Fundella pellucens, Zeller, 1848 ; Homoeosoma nebulella Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775 ; Lineodes integra Zeller, 1873 ; Loxomorpha flavidissimalis, Grote, 1878 ; Ufa rubedinella Zeller, 1848 ( Lepidoptera : Pyralidae ).
Habitat: Coastal dune scrubland, savannah, dry forest.
