Contulma View in CoL spec.
( Figs 10 View FIGURES 10–13 A–10C, 16C)
Material: 2♀, Colombia, Bogotá, Chapinero, Quebrada La Vieja , 6.ii.2017, leg. W. Mey ( MfN) ; 1♀, Colombia, Cundinamarca, Machetá, Termales los Volcanes , 9.xi.2016, leg. W. Mey ( MfN) .
Remarks. Unfortunately, only females have been collected so far. Without males, the correct identification is not possible at the present time ( Holzenthal & Flint 1995). The female genitalia resemble very much those of C. spinosa Flint & Holzenthal 1991 (in Flint 1991), but the forewings have an interrupted, golden-brown transverse fascia, which does not correspond with that species.
The larvae of the species have been found to be abundant in the river. The few adults collected in November and June point to a main flight period of the adults which is at another time of the year.
