T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Brazil, Para, Jacareacanga ,?- VI-1969, F. R. Barbosa ( WOPC).
D i a g n o s i s: Venter, antenna, and legs testaceous; cranium and pronotum arch black; pronotum proper and mesoscutellum testaceous; elytron mostly black, glabrous, disk with yellow rectangulate fascia and punctiform marking.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 5.0 mm; width 1.0 mm. Form: As in Fig. 45 View Figs 45-48 . Head: Capitulum oblong; (EW/FW 15/45). Thorax: Elytral disc minutely punctate; (PL/PW 70/70); (EL/EW 210/60). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 97).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, para, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
