Clark ( MNHN, 1) ; Provincia de San Martin; Tarapoto , Mai á Août 1886, M. de Mathan ( MNHN, 2; WOPC, 2). BRAZIL: Estado de Rio de Janeiro ; Nova Friburgo , February 1884, P. Germain ( MNHN, 1) ; Estado do Rio de Janeiro ( WOPC, 1). Estado do Rondonia ; 62 km SE Ariquemes, near Fazenda Rancho Grande , 30-III-10-IV-1992, J. E. D i a g n o s i s: Mostly black. Pronotal arch, elytral anterior 1/3, and elytral apex highly setose; elytral middle with triangular testaceous fascia.

D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 6.0 mm; width 1.5 mm. Form: As in Fig. 29 View Figs 29-32 . Head: (EW/FW 20/60). Thorax: Pronotal and elytral discs finely punctate; (PL/PW 120/120); (EL/EW 240/70). Abdomen: Aedeagus ( Fig. 85 View Figs 83-91 ).

V a r i a t i o n: Length 5.0-7.0 mm; width 1.0- 1.2 mm.

E t y m o l o g y: The species name, junin, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
