Range: —Andes from Colombia, Ecuador to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC, TA) and northern Argentina.
Ecology: —Very common epiphyte found among abundant mossy surfaces in ecotones of subtropical deciduous and cloud forests; 400–3600 m.
Notes: —As mentioned in the key, C. angustiplaeatum can be distinguished from other members of the C. angustifolium group by its linear-lanceolate scales less than 1 mm wide.
