RECORDS. — Boukhatem et al. (2017): El-Kala National Park, Tonga lake watershed. Very rare.

COMMENT

Jelenc (1955a) reported this species based on the previous one of Bescherelle (1882) from La Calle as Campylopus polytrichoides De Not. considering both names as synonyms. Nevertheless, posterior taxonomical studies by Gradstein & Sipman (1978) differentiate clearly both species and confirmed that at that time the reports in northern Africa correspond to C. pilif er.
