Distribution. China: Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei (new province record).

Comments. A total of 69 specimens (30 males and 39 females) from Hubei province were examined in this study, which represent the new province record. Those specimens are collected on the flowers of Cornus controversa Hemsley , Cornus walteri Wanger , Cornus alba Linnaeus ( Cornaceae ) and Castanea seguinii Dode ( Fagaceae ), which means that this species visits the flowers of the genus Cornus Linnaeus and Castanea Miller.
