Emended diagnosis
Geoplaninae View in CoL of large broad and flattened body with well-developed glandular body margins. SMI: 5–7%. Testes placed above supra-intestinal parenchymal transverse muscular layer; male atrium folded, with ejaculatory duct opening through a small papilla-like fold; penis eversible; prostatic vesicle extrabulbar, bifurcate and elongate. Ovovitelline ducts approaching copulatory apparatus from anterodorsal aspect and opening at the same point into the vagina. No cephalic specializations; subepidermal musculature not insunk. Parenchymal longitudinal musculature absent. Adenodactyls or glandulo-muscular organs absent. Type species: Geoplana amagensis Fuhrmann, 1914 View in CoL .
