TYPE LOCALITY: Surinam .

DISTRIBUTION: Guianas; Delta of Rio Orinoco and south of Rio Orinoco ( Venezuela); south to Maranhao on east, and west along both banks of Rio Amazonas ( Brazil) to Amazon Basin of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
