Genus diagnosis
Antennule (A.I) has 10 segments with terminal aesthetascs on the fifth to ninth segment and subterminal aesthetascs on the last segment. Antenna (A.II) has six segments, the first and fourth without setae. Mandible (Md) with expanded pars molaris and numerous claws. Maxilla (Mx.II) with four segments (the last very small) and with numerous setae on the third segment. Exopods of thoracopods 3–7 with 6–10 segments; basipod of thoracopods 1–7 with three setae. Thoracopod (Th) 8 male: almost square with well-developed endopod which has two long terminal setae; exopod very large, longer than wide and overhanging the basipod; inner lobe completely integrated into the basal region; outer lobe is not fused with basipod; basipod square with a very long protuberance on the internal lateral edge. Th 8 female: large and rounded, with two small teeth and two long setae. No pleopods. Ventral seta of the pleotelson small and situated on the basal part of the furca. Sympod of uropod with numerous similar spines (around 20); endopod with three or four spines and two terminal and subterminal setae.
