Description:—Epiphyte. Leaf petiolate; petiole to 8 cm long; leaf blade broadly lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, grassy green, (8)10–18(20) cm long, (1)1.2–2.5(2.8) cm wide, glabrous on both sides. Peduncle 1(2) per pseudobulb; white tomentose, ca. (1.8)2–3(3.2) cm long, with one flower; floral bract very small, triangular; pedicel with ovary densely white tomentose, (7)8–10(12) mm long. Flower widely opening, sepals and petals white with red stripes at base, lip mid lobe yellow with reddish veins, side lobes white with many red stripes. Sepal s subsimilar, (2)2.3–2.5(2.7) cm long, 4.5–5.5(7) mm wide, obtuse to blunt at apex, white tomentose outside, glabrous inside, lateral sepals oblique. Petals glabrous, oblong, (1.6)1.8–2(2.2) cm long, 4–5 mm wide, blunt to roundish at apex. Lip (0.7)1.9–2.1(2.2) cm long, 3-lobed; median lobe ovate, (0.9)1–1.1(1.2) cm long, 5–6 mm wide, obtuse, with spongy-like swelling margin; side-lobes ovate, oblique, erect, ca. 7 mm long, 2 mm wide, acute; disc with 3 keels; lateral keels fleshy, running from base of lip to base of side lobes; median keel clavate, from lip base to apex of median lobe. Column 6–7 mm long, column foot 7–8 mm long. Fruit erect, obconoid, hairy capsule 1.5–1.8 cm long, 5–7 mm in diameter.

Habitat and phenology: —Creeping epiphyte. Submotane and montane evergreen, broad-leaved, mixed and coniferous forests on silicate parental rocks at elevations of 1000–2200 m a.s.l. Flowers in March–April.

Distribution: — VIETNAM (provinces Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong).

Notes: —According to floral morphology, this species is very close to C. globifera and differs solely in a larger flowers. Long leaf petiole indicated in the protologue as the main discriminative character of the species is in fact very variable even in one plant colony (LE01089192 https://en.herbariumle.ru/?t=occ&id=71868). Further studies may surely leads to lump of both species in one taxon.

Specimens examined: — VIETNAM, Lam Dong Province; Lac Duong district, 1997, Averyanov et al. VH 4055 (photo, MNHN-P-P00403729!, http://coldb.mnhn.fr/catalognumber/mnhn/p/p00403729.
