Basionym: Minuartia hypanica Klokov (1947: 66) View in CoL .
Type:— UKRAINE. [Odessa Region] In lapidosis prope Odessam. Majo, leg. Lang et Szovitz (Herb. ruth. Cent. 1, No. 14, sub “ Arenaria tenuifolia viscidula ”), sine datum (holotype LE!, isotype KW!).
Note:— Sabulina hypanica seems to be closely related to S. birjuczensis (see comment above), and S. tenuifolia ( Linnaeus 1753: 424) Reichenbach (1832: 785) s.l. (see Iamonico 2014) and it differs from the latter species in having somewhat smaller flowers and fruits (capsules) which are shorter than calyx. The species occurs in the Crimean Peninsula and the western Black Sea region of continental Ukraine and is recognized (as Minuartia hypanica ) by Fedoronchuk & Didukh (2002), Tzvelev (2004, 2012), and Yena (2012).
