Etymology. Stenos (Greek)—narrow, pteros (Greek)—wing.

Diagnosis. Differs from all other species of N. kalshoveni species-group by extremely narrow forewing (WLR 0.29) and by the oblique stripe in the apical part of forewing connected to the spot surrounding wing apex.

Description. Male unknown.

Female ( Figs. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 8 , 17 View FIGURES 10 – 17 ). FWL 6.2 mm, WLR 0.29. Vertex brown; frons dark bronze. PLB short, dark brown. Proboscis densely covered with coppery black scales. Antenna exceeds 1.2 × FWL. Scape and base of flagellum dark bronze; flagellum up to 0.9 × FWL thickened by dark bronze scales, followed by white segments; then the colour of flagellum changes to brown. Tegulae and thorax dark brown. Forewing bronze to brown, suffused with dark brown scales at the base of costa and in the medial third of forewing, where dark brown scales form a large diffuse spot near the costa; another diffuse dark brown spot is located near the external wing margin next to ochreous-yellow oblique stripe, which is bordered by narrow row of dark brown scales. This oblique stripe reaches external wing margin, where connects to the ochreous spot surrounding wing apex. Fringe brown. Hindwing brown, apically with coppery tint; costal area grey; fringe grey to brown. Legs bronze; apices of tibiae and of all tarsomeres white; fore tibiae medially with white spots; base of the first tarsomere white. Epiphysis at 0.7, reaching tip of tibia. Abdomen light brown.

Distribution ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ). Indonesia (Irian Jaya).

Comments. The specimen is worn; the tips of antennae are missing.
