Distribution in Iran. Bushehr ( Farrar and Chou 2000; Farrar et al. 2004, 2009, 2012).
Distribution outside Iran. India ( Silvestri 1916 as Opius carpomyiae ; Khare 1923; Cameron 1941; Fullaway 1951; Thompson 1953; Batra 1954; Narayanan and Batra 1960; Clausen et al. 1965; Gilstrap and Hart 1987; Yu et al. 2012), Sri Lanka ( Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. Egg-pupal parasitoid of Carpomya vesuviana Costa, 1854 ( Diptera : Tephritidae ) ( Silvestri 1916; Kavitha and Savithri 2002; Farrar et al. 2004, 2009, 2012). It is also reported from Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel, 1912) , B. zonata (Saunders, 1842) and Carpomya vesuviana Costa, 1854 ( Diptera : Tephritidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012).
