Type material. HOLOTYPE, 1♀, COLOMBIA, Valle del Cauca, Cali, Universidad del Valle, Microestación , 3°20’32.60”N 76°32’01.37”W, 984m alt., Colecta manual, 23-VIII-2013, L. Perez leg. ( UNAB) GoogleMaps . PARATYPE, 1♀, COLOMBIA, Valle, Cali, Felidia , El Diamante , 990m alt., captura jama, Carretera , 26-XII-2009, L. Mardharst leg. ( UNAB) <illustrated female >.

Etymology. Genitive singular; name in reference to the collection locality in Vale del Cauca, Colombia.

Diagnosis. Anterior and anterolateral margins of pronotum whitish, impunctate; anterior and anterolateral margins of pronotum with black punctuations. Disk of scutellum callused, ivory. Abdominal sternite VII immaculate medially. Each laterotergite VIII subtriangular, lacking spiracle; posterior margin of each laterotergite VIII with an acute projection. Anterior margin of each gonocoxite IX straight, posterior margin notched medially. Pars intermedialis short, straight basally and shorter than capsula seminalis. Capsula seminalis globose, with lateral and apical projections.

Description. Head wider than long; head surface irregular, with few brownish punctuations; antennomeres I–III entirely brownish, IV–V brownish basally. Proportion of antennomeres I <II> III<IV <V. Anterior and anterolateral margins of pronotum whitish, impunctate, bordered by a line of dark punctuations ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Evaporatorium brownish ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Disk of scutellum callused, ivory ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Posterolateral angles of connexivum black and acute. Abdominal sternites with a sublateral band of brownish punctuations; a rounded, yellowish spot laterally on each abdominal sternite.

Female genitalia ( Figs 5–7 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Genital plates setose ( Figs 5–6 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Gonocoxites VIII (gc8) concave, wider than long, posterior margins sinuous, sutural margins parallel not juxtaposed. Gonapophyses VIII (g8) visible between gonocoxites VIII. Laterotergites VIII (la8) subtriangular, lacking spiracles; posterior margin of each laterotergite VIII with an acute projection. Gonocoxites IX (gc9) strongly convex; anterior margin straight; posterior margin notched medially. Laterotergites IX (la9) depressed basally; laterotergites IX extending beyond posterior margin of tergite VIII. Segment X rectangular. Chitinellipsen (ch) elliptical; thickening of vaginal intima (tvi) globose ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–7 ). Proximal ductus receptaculi (pdr) longer than vesicular area (va); distal ductus receptaculi (ddr) as long as vesicular area; pars intermedialis (pi) narrower basally than apically, shorter than capsula seminalis; posterior annular flange (paf) wider than anterior annular flange (aaf); capsula seminalis (cs) globose with lateral and apical projections.

Measurements. Total length, 7.31 ± 0.26 (7.12–7.50); length of head, 1.13 ± 0.01 (1.12–1.15); head length ahead of eyes, 0.875; interocular distance, 1.03 ± 0.05 (1.00–1.07); length of antennal segments: I, 0.35 ± 0.03 (0.32–0.37); II, 0.85 ± 0.03 (0.82–0.85); III, 0.78 ± 0.05 (0.75–0.82); IV, 1.37; V, 1.62; width of head, 1.87 ± 0.03 (1.85–1.90); width of pronotum, 4.32 ± 0.24 (4.15–4.50); length of pronotum, 1.67 ± 0.03 (1.65–1.70); width of scutellum, 2.45 ± 0.08 (2.39–2.50); length of scutellum, 2.79 ± 0.08 (2.73–2.85); width of abdomen at third segment, 4.31 ± 0.08 (4.25–4.37).

Distribution. Colombia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ).

Comments. The dorsal habitus of E. colombiana sp. nov. and E. scutomaculata are similar by the presence of an ivory spot on the disk of scutellum. Both species can be distinguished from each other by the coloration of the antennae, by the vestiture of the anterior and lateral margins of pronotum, and presence or absence of a black spot on abdominal sternite VII medially. The female genitalia of E. colombiana sp. nov. and E. diamphidiosa Grazia, Barros & Barão, 2016 are alike, but in the former la8 lack spiracles, posterolateral angles of la8 acute, gc9 swollen, and capsula seminalis globose, bearing two projections, and shorter than pars intermedialis.
